Ahh I remember blogging about it already being February, and look now, so much has happened. It’s August now, more than a month into my Summer, and I guess it’s been good, although recently, work has sucked to the max. Customers or just generally people can be so difficult, and working for 4 days straight, doing longer shifts has killed me. BUT now I’m not working till Friday, so hmm what to do this week.. Got a slight plan, but we’ll see how it goes. Hopefully the weather cheers up, coz although I’ve been sweating like crazy, it’s always good when the sun is out.

Anyway, was reading my magazine whilst waiting for my driving instructor, and OMG I found the skirt I’ve been searching for…

River Island, £24.99, but when I looked on their website, the skirt is NOT there!

And even though we’re saving for a car. I’ve got my eye on a few other things…

** Watched Batman, The Dark Knight today. WOO I hardly ever go cinema, just to save money coz I know I can watch it online or borrow it from someone when it comes out on DVD. However, I was having a crap day, and just went along with whatever Lon wanted to do coz all I was doing was trying to make myself more miserable. However, Lon did the impossible and I had a good evening. I’m not really going to talk about the movie, coz I’m not too good with movies, I can’t keep up with story lines, I don’t remember what character is what and what their names are. I have to really think about it and get someone to explain it. But other than that, I so loved this movie, I sat there and took in what I could, loved the visuals, the costumes and make up, the Joker and his madman habits that were so convincing. I didn’t care that the movie was longer than regular movies, it didn’t drag on. It was in depth for every situation and action scene, nothing was rushed and that made it such a good movie for me.

1/ Got a place at LCC for Diploma in Graphics Design, both me and Lon. Unfortunately it’s already full, so we have to return our reply slip as soon as we get it

2/ The weather has stayed hot. Wore my shorts today, only to reveal the whitestlegs ever. Sunbathed in the garden for abit.

3/ Got a new TV in my room. It’s massive. My parents insisted I have it so I can play Wii up here and they can watch TFC. Can finally use my DVD player, old TV was too old.

4/ Family BBQ’s

I’m actually quite a competitive person, face-to-face and behind your back. If I lose at a game, I’ll have a tantrum and demand that we stop or start again. I’ll push myself to work hard just to have a better result than someone else. I like to hear that other people I don’t like achieved lower than myself so I feel better (gosh I have such low self confidence and self esteem sometimes).

Same goes for driving.  I’m competing with someone and myself to pass and get this test over and done with. That someone is a person that I’ve constantly competed with, and we both know it, we just never admit it, so technically it is face to face, but we do it behind each others back. I’m competing with myself and my own conflicting feelings. My test is in just over a week, I don’t feel ready or confident, yet I want to do it, just to get it done. I also want to push it forward, next available date in September, to practice more and build my confidence, and get my car and do my own private practice. The better decision is so obvious right?

I just changed my test date, hopefully good enough so I have adequate time to learn more and get better, and also to practice for a decent amount of time once I get back from holiday. I’m feeling down about it though. I know I shouldn’t compete, it’s MY test, I’m making myself go crazy over it, but whatever September ** 2008 I’ll be ready!

Btw, Day 2 of Summer Weather was a let down. I wore shorts but the sky looked cloudy and its an overstatement to say the sun was out. It was hot, but whatever, I leave you with…

So apparently the next 3 days we’re going to have good, hot summer weather, that will in turn trigger raining and less-hot weather on Thursday and Friday. Had a really bad morning, waking up to my driving instructor telling me with less than 2 weeks left till my driving test that his finger is swollen or infected or broken or whatever, and he can’t make today’s lesson or the next few days BLAH BLAH BLAH, adding to my already depressed feelings towards driving and my test. I’m having mixed feelings about this upcoming test, but also about pushing it forward, coz the next available date is in like September, which ok will give me more time to practice and more time to look for a car, but I don’t know, I just want to do this. If I push it forward, most of my summer will be spent doing driving lessons, gosh I’m so silly sometimes.

Anyway, to make myself better, went out with Lon, and coz I was feeling so depressed, I decided hmm lets be a little experimental with my outfit, coz normally I won’t wear a nice top just in case I want to wear it at some other unexpected event and it’s in the laundry or all sweaty, so normally I try to spice up my normal black/grey tops with accessories or layering up. But this time, I wanted to wear something colourful, and I did. Also curled my hair, coz it’s looking flat when it’s straight and always think there’s no volume. I think I looked good today (hahah self esteem rising!) but downsides to my outfit, I was sweating like hell (need to blog about my mission to find a good deodorant/ antiperspirant) and I didn’t want to take my cardigan off coz very revealing top and alot of perv guys staring already even with my cardigan. Anyway, went around and Lon finally bought the perfect jumper he’s been longing for even though its summer and hot, and I also bought (finally) another Wii controller and nunchuk, PLUS Wii Play with the controller for £2 more compared to the Wii controller on its own woo woo!

Babysat Tristen, sort of. Went to lon’s early, had sort of a lazy day in, watched Hot Fuzz, Gilmore Girls, Without a Trace, One Tree Hill etc. Played Mario Kart Wii. Hot Fuzz was a goooood movie, not what you expect at all. The advert you could say was a bit misleading, but if they did reveal more in the ad than what the movie holds, I guess the whole story line would have been messed up. But it is funny, they play around with words a lot, and only if you’re sharp and you catch the clues, will you actually get the joke haha.

My blog stats are low. I haven’t really been bothered to blog recently for several reasons. I’ve just been doing the same thing, either going out with Lon browsing the shops etc, or having days in eating, watching tv, cleaning, laundry (our machine broke down like nearly 2 weeks ago and it finally got fixed the other day) or just going to my Mum’s office. I haven’t been taking much pictures even though I now have a camera, I think I’m just used to not having one, sounds weird right?

It’s nearly been 4 weeks since I finished school, and I’m already feeling abit lost on what to do. Me and Lon are again saving for his car and possibly my own, and it’s kinda hard with like phone bills, me paying for driving lessons, oyster fares etc. I need to find more things to do I think, I don’t know, but I am enjoying my holiday. Plus trying to sort out interviews etc for the course in September is taking quite long, but hopefully it’ll get sorted.

Anyway, I have driving soon so I’ll blog again another time.

I’m gonna be really selfish and just post pictures of me from my new cam teehee. Taken at my Mum’s work event.

Even if it’s been raining all week, I’m happy. Why? Coz I wore a jacket out and got angry when the sun came out and made me sweat. All day, me and Lon got happy when the sky turned grey and it rained.

This question has been on my mind for ages, and I’ve been asking Lon and Em about it for ages, and for ages I never found the answer. I wondered whether once you cooked vegetables, e.g boiled it or whatever, can it be counted as your five a day, and say if you cook veg, and you eat it like the day after or something, can that be counted as your five a day? I know it sounds silly, but if its not fresh, is that counted? Say like eating tinned peaches, or tinned sweetcorn, can that be counted? Or boiling frozen veg? I don’t know.

Anyway, I was at my mum’s office the other day, sitting on one of the chairs in the corridor/foyer bit, and I was looking at the posters on the walls, and guess what I found..

* Went clinic today and got weighed. 3 months ago I was 50kgs, 3 months later I’m 48kgs woo woo!

So I guess you could say my lack of blogging is due to my busy holidays =) I have actually been busy, so much so I’m just going to blab everything out, so everything is just going to jump from one thing to another. Things are improving in terms of Uni and all that, there I was thinking I’m just going to do a part time course then do a degree course blah blah. I had my interview at LCC yesterday, and he referred me to a full time course that covers more of what I want to do and starts from scratch, so I’ll make the most of it. He also explained other degree courses, and this morning I was reading about it on the website, and they look really really good. So I guess I can do a design course that is not proper proper fixed on art and design, phew. The weather has been summery too, really hot and I love it.

Me and Lon argued again, and he revealed to me that he semi started planning to surprise me on my birthday, ok maybe not surprise but do something for me. Gah, I eventually was ok with him, but I was so deeply upset that he revealed his secret plans. I love surprises! But when he tries to plan big ones, he always ends up telling me. Sigh, so anyway, we came to the conclusion that he’s going to organise my birthday celebration whatever it may be, which i guess is ok, coz no pressure on me, and now hopefully for certain, something is happening on my birthday hehe! woo!

Driving was meant to be at 1pm, but I waited for an hour and he never came. I tried calling, but his phone was off so blah. The weather is hot again today, but I guess I’ll just complete some left behind things to do from ages ago, e.g clean my room, coz it got turned upside down when I couldn’t find my LCC letter for the interview, and it turned out to be on my windowsill haha, and it’s giving me really bad energies, everything is just everywhere, I feel so lost and unorganized and ergh. Also, I have loads more pictures…on Lon’s camera.. and coz his PC is nearly dead, he can’t upload pictures, and we always forget when he comes here. Sigh, my blog looks so boring without pictures.

# Decided to watch friends from the very beginning online. Still in season 1, episode 5 now haha, its so good!

# Went Enfield Library to get some books, and this is a new library. Turned out to be disappointing, Just picked up any random book that was rubbish, and just fell off my bunk bed last night, blah

# Was really sick a few days ago, my tonsils were inflamed so my throat hurtttt, and it hurt when I swallowed too. That also meant I had headaches, and at work, I couldn’t really serve customers and work at the front coz the heat made my head spin, so I was just at the back doing prep and cleaning, which I guess is ok.

# Burnt myself on the iron, again on my right hand, so now I have two burns. My skin is no longer scar-less haha, minus my neck.

# My first burn from work, on the 1000 watt light! Yes 1000, that’s what keeps your chips hot people and it burnt me.

# From the Ikea sale, we bought strawberry plants, and they’ve been popping up like crazy. We’ve already had 2 pickings, and some are quite sweet, they’re so red too. The cucumbers are growing fast too. The other day, my mum wanted tomatoes with her omelette, and I said, if your tomato plant grew faster we could have just picked it now and used it. Growing your own stuff is so satisfying hhaha.

I want to take full advantage of this summer. Do everything I can to enjoy my time, try new things, discover new places, learn something different, achieve things. Obviously I will always have my lazy days in, but even then, I should do something productive, clean up, do some laundry etc, anything to keep busy, help others and prevent a day being wasted. In my mind, I have a bunch of stuff I want to do, and since I constantly write lists, might aswell blog about it.

#2 Summer reading list, so far I’ve just been re-reading Memoirs of a Geisha, and currently Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
#3 my 18th birthday, more about this later
#4 pass my driving test
#5 clean out my room
#6 a holiday with my family and one with friends
#7 new Wii games and controller
#8 find new places to go shopping or just new shops
#9 drive somewhere for weekend or weekday breaks, like the beach, or out of London
#10 organise and clean areas in the house, such as the kitchen cabinets
#11 blog about everything, simply because I want to remember it all

Hmm, seems abit vague, but I don’t have anything proper planned. If I don’t pass my driving test, going for weekend or weekday breaks would be more expensive with travel, and also late nights out would cause a problem of how to get home. Also, I’m still working weekends. But the whole concept of my plan is to be productive and enjoy everyday.

#3 my 18th birthday. I have no idea what to do, I don’t have a really large circle of close friends so I wouldn’t have a big debut or something, or have some big party. I thought maybe go out to eat, clubbing, sleepover at mine and stay up all night, or go away on holiday with friends, or drive somewhere overnight. I really am stuck. I went on lastminute.com earlier, looking for prices, holiday deals, cruises, weekend breaks, that sort of thing. Then I thought, when should I go, a day after my birthday, on the actual day, before my birthday? I don’t think I can commit to even a weeklong holiday this month or July, coz of driving, the first week of August would be my LCC Summer course, then 2 weeks after my birthday, I might be going Spain with my family. So when? And who would even come, I’m sure people would have excuses like I have no money, gosh.
